ALLENTOWN, Pa. — An adult woman was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries after a shooting Wednesday morning in Allentown, according to a statement from the Allentown Police Department.
Officers responded at approximately 8:37 a.m. to the area of 18th and Chew Street following a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, police located a female victim with a gunshot wound. Emergency medical assistance was provided on scene before she was transported by Allentown EMS to a nearby hospital.
According to the department, “Her injuries appear to be non-life threatening.”
As the investigation unfolded, officers identified and detained two suspects. Authorities also recovered two firearms connected to the incident. Details regarding the identities of those involved have not been released.

Police say the investigation remains active and ongoing. No charges have been announced, and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
