WILKES-BARRE, Pa. — A 36-year-old man was arrested Monday night after allegedly pointing a firearm at a coworker and striking him during a confrontation on Madison Street, police said.
Officers with the Wilkes-Barre City Police Department responded to a report of a fight in progress at 9:50 p.m. on May 26. Upon arrival, they made contact with a 29-year-old male victim from Hanover Township who described the altercation.
According to the victim, the dispute stemmed from a prior incident at their place of employment and escalated into a confrontation at the residence. The victim told officers that Gerome Brooks, of Wilkes-Barre, pointed a gun at him and then punched him in the face.
Brooks was taken into custody at the scene without further incident. Police did not disclose whether a weapon was recovered.
The defendant was transported to Wilkes-Barre City Headquarters for processing. The investigation remains active, and no additional charges or court information was released.
