QUEENS, N.Y. — A man wanted in connection with the homicide of a 36-year-old woman in Queens has been arrested, the New York City Police Department confirmed. The arrest happened after a high speed chase through the borough.
Bekim Fiseku, 53, was taken into custody following an investigation by detectives assigned to the 114th Precinct. Police had previously released an alert to the public seeking help in locating Fiseku in connection with the death of Amanda Servedio.
Servedio was identified as the victim in a homicide within the precinct earlier this month. Officials have not released the specific date or circumstances surrounding her death.
Fiseku’s arrest was made pursuant to the ongoing investigation. Authorities have not provided further details regarding where he was located or what charges he currently faces.
Investigation remains active following arrest
The NYPD has not released additional information regarding the nature of the relationship between the victim and the suspect, or the motive behind the incident.
