Belleville swears in 10 new officers and promotes detective to sergeant

BELLEVILLE, N.J. — The Belleville Police Department held a swearing-in ceremony Tuesday at City Hall to officially promote Detective John David Rossi to the rank of sergeant and welcome 10 new officers to the force.

Detective Sergeant Rossi was recognized for his leadership and service during the event. The promotion marks a career milestone and highlights his ongoing dedication to the department.

In addition to the promotion, 10 newly graduated police academy officers were sworn in. The officers are expected to begin field duties in the coming days.
