Winning Powerball ticket worth $50K was purchased at an Upper East Side convenience store
MANHATTAN, N.Y. — A Powerball ticket sold at a Manhattan convenience store matched enough numbers in Wednesday night’s drawing to secure a $50,000 prize, according to the New York Lottery.
The New York Lottery announced that one third-prize-winning ticket was sold for the June 17 Powerball drawing.
The winning ticket, worth $50,000, was purchased at Grace Convenience Inc., located at 405 E. 70th St. in Manhattan.
Powerball winning numbers are drawn from a field of one to 69, while the red Power Ball is selected from a separate field of one to 26.
Powerball drawings are televised every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m.
The New York Lottery said it remains North America’s largest and most profitable lottery, contributing $3.6 billion during fiscal year 2024-2025 to support public schools throughout New York State.
