Winning Lottery ticket with $3.2 million cash option sold in Bucks County

A Warminster Township retailer earned a bonus after selling the life-changing Pennsylvania Lottery Scratch-Off winner

MIDDLETOWN, Pa. — A Pennsylvania Lottery Scratch-Off ticket carrying a top prize of $20,000 a month for life was sold in Bucks County, giving one ticket holder the chance to choose between lifetime monthly payments or a multimillion-dollar cash option.

The Pennsylvania Lottery announced Thursday that a winning $20,000 a Month for Life Scratch-Off ticket was sold at GIANT, located at 720 West Street Road in Warminster Township.

The retailer will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

The $20,000 a Month for Life game is a $10 Scratch-Off that offers players a top prize of $20,000 per month for life. Winners also have the option of selecting a cash payout of $3.2 million, less applicable withholding.

Lottery officials emphasized that Scratch-Off tickets are distributed randomly, meaning neither the Pennsylvania Lottery nor its retailers know where winning tickets will be sold. The Lottery learns where winning tickets are sold only after a prize has been claimed.

Officials reminded players that Scratch-Off prizes expire one year from the game’s end-sale date posted on the Pennsylvania Lottery website.

The Pennsylvania Lottery advises winners to immediately sign the back of their ticket and contact the Lottery for prize-claim instructions.

Lottery prizes exceeding $5,000 are subject to applicable withholding requirements.
