A daycare employee was arrested after detectives investigating allegations of inappropriate contact involving two 3-year-old girls at a Manassas childcare center obtained felony charges, police said.
A 38-year-old daycare employee is facing felony charges following an investigation into alleged sexual assaults reported at the Children of America daycare center on Liberia Avenue in Manassas, according to Prince William County police.
Joseph Matthew Brown was arrested June 18 and charged with three counts of aggravated sexual battery. He is being held without bond pending court proceedings.
Investigation Covered Incidents Reported Over Several Months
Police said the investigation involved incidents that were reported to have occurred between June 2025 and April 2026 at the Children of America facility located at 9655 Liberia Ave.
According to investigators, Brown was employed at the daycare during that period. Detectives allege that he inappropriately touched two children, both 3-year-old girls, while they were in the care of the facility.
Authorities said no injuries were reported.
Detectives Obtained Charges
Prince William County police announced Thursday that detectives had concluded their investigation and obtained criminal charges against Brown.
Following the investigation, Brown was taken into custody and charged with three counts of aggravated sexual battery. Additional details regarding the allegations were not immediately released.

Detectives are asking anyone who may have information related to the investigation to contact Prince William County police.
