FLUSHING, NY – A Powerball ticket worth $50,000 was sold in Flushing for the Saturday, Dec. 7, drawing, the New York Lottery announced.
The third-prize-winning ticket was purchased at Stop & Go Convenience, located at 42-39 Main Street. The ticket matched four out of five numbers plus the red Power Ball, earning the player $50,000.
Powerball numbers are drawn from a pool of one through 69, with the red Power Ball selected from a separate pool of one through 26. Drawings take place three times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays, at 10:59 p.m.
The New York Lottery, the largest and most profitable lottery in North America, contributed $3.8 billion to public education in New York State during the 2023-2024 fiscal year.
