Forestville parking lot dispute ends with gunfire and arrest

FORESTVILLE, Md. – A private security guard is facing criminal charges after police say he fired a shot during an argument Wednesday afternoon in a parking lot on Walters Lane.

Prince George’s County Police identified the suspect as 29-year-old John Mause II of Middle River. Investigators said no one was hit by the gunfire, and the man he allegedly fired toward left before officers arrived.

Police later charged him with reckless endangerment. Detectives continue efforts to identify and locate the other man involved in the confrontation.
