Country Fair in Union City sold the Golden Ticket carrying the game’s top prize

UNION CITY, PA – A $30 Pennsylvania Lottery Scratch-Off lived up to its Golden Ticket name in Erie County, delivering a $3 million top prize from a ticket sold at a Country Fair convenience store in Union City.

The Pennsylvania Lottery announced Friday that Country Fair at 76 N. Main St. sold the $3 million-winning $3,000,000 Golden Ticket Scratch-Off.

The retailer will collect a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

$30 ticket delivers $3M top prize

The $3,000,000 Golden Ticket is a $30 Pennsylvania Lottery Scratch-Off offering top prizes of $3 million.

Unlike draw games, Scratch-Off tickets are distributed randomly. The Pennsylvania Lottery and its retailers do not know in advance where winning tickets will be sold.

The Lottery said it learns where a winning Scratch-Off was sold only after the prize has been claimed.

Erie County retailer gets $10K bonus

The $3 million prize is subject to applicable tax withholding.

Scratch-Off prizes expire one year after the game’s official end-sale date, which is posted by the Pennsylvania Lottery.

The Lottery advises players holding winning tickets to sign the back. Prize information and claim assistance are available by calling 1-800-692-7481.
