COLUMBUS, Ohio – Detectives are searching for the person who opened fire on eastbound I-270 Wednesday afternoon, striking multiple vehicles and a nearby building in a shocking burst of freeway gunfire.
Police said the shooting occurred around 1:06 p.m. between I-71 and State Route 315. The suspect stopped along the shoulder, opened both driver-side doors, and began firing at passing traffic before fleeing the scene.
