Eastern Shore woman becomes Maryland’s latest lottery millionaire

Chestertown, MD – A Kent County scratch-off player claimed a $1 million top prize after discovering her winning All About Cash ticket months after purchasing it during an October stop at a local convenience store.

The winner told Lottery officials she bought a single $20 All About Cash scratch-off at the High’s store on Washington Avenue while driving home from work. She said she scratched the ticket in her car and noticed a matching number followed by a string of zeroes, prompting her to scan the ticket using the Maryland Lottery app for confirmation.

She said she sat in her vehicle for several minutes to steady herself before driving home. After securing the ticket in a safe, she waited until the new year to claim her prize. She said she plans to help family and invest.

The High’s retailer will receive a $1,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

The All About Cash scratch-off launched in July and still holds three remaining $1 million top prizes, along with additional prizes ranging from $40 to $50,000.
