Two masked suspects escaped with cash after late-night holdup, police say
GLEN BURNIE, MD — A late-night trip to a Glen Burnie convenience store turned into an armed robbery when two masked suspects entered a 7-Eleven, one displayed a handgun and demanded cash before both fled on foot, according to the Anne Arundel County Police Department.
Officers responded at approximately 10:20 p.m. on Wednesday, July 22, to the 7-Eleven at 7600 Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard for a reported armed commercial robbery.
Investigators said two suspects entered the store, and one of them brandished a handgun while demanding money from the clerk.
The clerk complied with the demand, and the suspects fled with an undisclosed amount of cash before officers arrived.
Police searched the surrounding area but were unable to locate either suspect.
No injuries were reported during the incident.
The Anne Arundel County Police Department’s Regional Crimes Unit is investigating the robbery.
Police described one suspect as a Black man wearing a black hoodie, black shorts, dark blue shoes and a black ski mask.
The second suspect was described as a Black man wearing a white T-shirt, khaki pants, dark-colored shoes and a gray-and-black camouflage ski mask.
