Odenton, MD – Anne Arundel County Police are investigating an early Saturday robbery in Odenton after a group of masked suspects allegedly threatened a man and stole his belongings before fleeing.

Western District officers responded at approximately 1:20 a.m. to the 1600 block of Riedel Road after the victim reported being robbed a short time earlier in the 2600 block of Evergreen Road.

According to police, the victim had just left a residence when he was approached by several masked individuals. Investigators said the suspects implied they were armed, and the victim told officers he felt a metallic object pressed against his chest before being thrown to the ground.

Belongings stolen before suspects fled

Police said the suspects stole the victim’s personal property and fled before officers arrived. No injuries were reported.

Investigators described the suspects only as four to eight males wearing masks. No further identifying information has been released.

Detectives continue investigation

The Anne Arundel County Police Department is asking anyone with information to contact Western District detectives at 410-222-8760. Anonymous tips may also be submitted through the Anne Arundel County Police Tip Line at 410-222-4700.

The robbery remains under investigation.
