QUARRYVILLE, PA – James Daniel Traynor, a resident of Quarryville, faces multiple charges following an alarming incident involving his 7-year-old child.
The Quarryville Police Department (QPD) disclosed that on April 6, Traynor engaged in an act of discipline, wherein he brandished a loaded firearm and threatened the child’s life. Additionally, Traynor warned the child against reporting the incident.
The QPD, upon receiving information about the incident on October 30, launched a comprehensive investigation.
The findings led to the issuance of an arrest warrant for Traynor last Monday. He faces charges including Endangering the Welfare of Children, Intimidation of a Witness/Victim, Simple Assault by Physical Menace, Terroristic Threats, and Harassment.
Traynor was apprehended in the early hours of Tuesday, and is currently held at Lancaster County Prison. Bail is set at $150,000.00. The preliminary hearing is scheduled before Magisterial District Judge Stuart J. Mylin in Quarryville.
