WILMINGTON, DE – Delaware State Police have arrested 37-year-old Christopher Pressey of Wilmington on multiple drug charges.

The arrest occurred Saturday night, around 9:17 p.m. While on patrol on South Market Street near Millside Drive, a State Trooper noticed a Lincoln Town Car making two lane changes without signaling. This prompted a traffic stop.

During the stop, the trooper learned that Pressey, the driver, had a suspended license and two active capiases. Upon conducting a search after requesting Pressey to exit the vehicle, the trooper discovered approximately 2 ounces of suspected PCP and about 2.34 grams of marijuana. Despite Pressey’s attempt to destroy the evidence, the trooper was able to secure the drugs.

In addition to the drugs, Pressey was found in possession of over $300 in suspected drug proceeds. He was taken into custody and transported to Troop 2, where he was charged with relevant drug offenses. Pressey was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 11 and has been committed to Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on a $122,854 cash bond.
