Armed robbery in d. C. Leads to puppy theft — Stolen Dog

WASHINGTON, D.C. – In a shocking incident, a dog was stolen during an armed robbery in Southeast Washington, D.C., prompting an urgent investigation by local authorities.

On Friday afternoon, a woman was met by suspects in the 3300 block of 14th Place, Southeast, after listing her dog for sale online. The suspects forcibly took the dog, and upon her attempt to retrieve her pet, one assailant threatened her with a handgun. The victim, unharmed, contacted the police immediately following the incident.

The stolen dog, named Mocha, is a one-year-old female French Bulldog. She is notable for her beige coat, a microchip for identification, and a recent c-section scar. The police have released Mocha’s photo to aid in her recovery.

The Metropolitan Police Department urges anyone with information to contact them at (202) 727-9099 or to send a tip via text to 50411. The public is advised not to approach the suspects but to inform the authorities immediately.
