Baltimore, MD — A daytime shooting left an elderly woman wounded on a busy Baltimore roadway, prompting an active investigation as detectives work to identify those responsible.

The incident occurred around 1:43 p.m. April 30 in the 4700 block of Liberty Heights Avenue. Officers responding to reports of gunfire located a 68-year-old woman suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

She was transported to a local hospital, where she is listed in stable condition.
