Black Lives Matter sign vandalized at Maryland church as police hunt suspect

Investigators are asking for the public’s help after two social justice signs outside an Odenton church were damaged late at night.

ODENTON, Md. — Anne Arundel County police are searching for a suspect accused of vandalizing two signs outside a church in Odenton, including a “Black Lives Matter” sign and a “Dismantle Racism” sign.

According to the Anne Arundel County Police Department, the vandalism occurred at approximately 10:30 p.m. on June 17 at Arc and Dove Presbyterian Church, located at 8424 Piney Orchard Parkway.

Investigators said the suspect damaged both signs before leaving the area.

Police released a photograph of the individual and are asking anyone who recognizes the suspect or has information about the incident to come forward.

No arrests have been announced.
