BRICK-On December 24th, at approximately 8:30pm, Brick Township Police officers were dispatched to the Shell gas station located at 1 Lanes Mill Road for a robbery.  On scene officers were advised by the gas attendant, that a subject robbed him by knifepoint after he pumped gas in his vehicle.  The suspect then fled the scene with an undisclosed quantity of money in an older Honda Civic.  The victim described the suspect as a white male, unshaven brown facial hair, approximately 5-09 to 5-10, heavyset, wearing a light colored bandanna.

Detectives Robert Shepherd, Gregory Mullarkey, and Thomas Cooney began actively investigating the case, and through the use of video surveillance were able to ultimately identify and arrest Patrick J. Dalesandro (white male, 38 years old, Cottonwood Drive, Brick, NJ).  Dalesandro was charged with 1st degree armed robbery, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.  Bail was set by the Honorable Judge Robert Lepore at $300,000.00 with no option to post ten percent.  Dalesandro was transported to the Ocean County Jail.
