Cambridge woman scores $50,000 on scratch-off surprise

Eastern Shore scratch-off hit delivers $50,000 win in Cambridge

Cambridge, MD — A longtime lottery player on Maryland’s Eastern Shore turned a routine ticket purchase into a $50,000 payout after matching a single number on a scratch-off game earlier this week.

The winning $20 All About Cash ticket was purchased at Cambridge Mart, located at 632 Race Street in Dorchester County. After scratching and scanning the ticket, the player revealed a matching number 18 tied to the $50,000 prize.

Lottery officials confirmed the claim was made Tuesday. The winner, identified only as a Cambridge woman, said she plans to use the money to purchase a new vehicle.

All About Cash launched in July with five $1 million top prizes. According to lottery data, two of those top prizes remain unclaimed, along with one remaining $50,000 second-tier prize.

Scratch-off tickets are distributed randomly, and winning tickets are only identified once claimed through official validation.
