EAST BRUNSWICK, N.J. — The East Brunswick Police Benevolent Association (PBA) Local 145 and Superior Officers Association (PBA 145a) extended their support to the Maddy and Kate Sauvigne Cancer Foundation (MKS) by participating in the organization’s annual lemonade stand fundraiser on Sunday. Officers from both unions contributed to the event with a donation and spent time at the stand, which has become a staple for the community’s charitable efforts.
According to the police department’s announcement, the funds raised at this year’s event will be donated to the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in recognition of the care provided to Maddy and Kate Sauvigne’s mother. The event honors her memory and continues to raise awareness and funds for cancer treatment and research.
The Maddy and Kate Sauvigne Cancer Foundation, which is named after two siblings, focuses on supporting cancer research and honoring the dedication shown by medical professionals. The East Brunswick police praised the foundation for its dedication and highlighted the community’s collective effort to support families affected by cancer.
