ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — Two Anne Arundel County police officers sprang into action over the weekend, rescuing a couple trapped inside a car that had plunged into a pond.
The dramatic rescue unfolded when the couple’s car veered into the water and became partially submerged. Fortunately, the vehicle became lodged, preventing it from sinking further and allowing Corporal McIntosh and Corporal Richardson to reach the couple in time.
One of the occupants, a man, was experiencing a medical emergency and was quickly transported to a nearby hospital, officials said.
