POLK COUNTY, FL – Brandon Adams, a 33-year-old Kathleen High School teacher from Lakeland, has been arrested and charged with a sex offense on a student.

The arrest was made by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit. The charges relate to an inappropriate relationship with an 18-year-old student during and beyond the 2021-2022 school year.

The victim reported moving in with Adams in June 2021, at the age of 18, and engaging in a consensual sexual relationship with him.

That reportedly occurred while he was still employed at Kathleen High School.
