Orangeburg shop sells winning ticket guaranteeing at least $2.2 million payout

ORANGEBURG, N.Y. — One lucky New York Lottery player is set for a massive long-term payday after a Millionaire for Life ticket sold in Rockland County matched enough numbers to secure a guaranteed multimillion-dollar prize.

Lottery officials announced that a second-prize winning ticket for the May 18 Millionaire for Life drawing was sold at Tiptop Super Shoppe, located at 5 Orangeburg Shopping Center in Orangeburg.

The winning ticket awards $100,000 a year for life, with a guaranteed minimum payout of $2.2 million.

Millionaire for Life drawings are held daily at 11:15 p.m., with players selecting numbers from one through 58 along with a separate Millionaire Ball from one through five.

Lottery officials have not released the identity of the winner.

Prizes from New York Lottery draw games may be claimed for up to one year from the drawing date.
