CAMDEN, NJ – A man was shot and killed inside a grocery store in Camden during an armed robbery. At this time, it is not known whether the man was a customer or an employee.
Now, detectives are investigating the fatal shooting of a 40-year-old man in Camden on Tuesday morning.
According to police, at 10:57 a.m., officers of the Camden County Metro Police Department responded to Fortuna Grocery at Louis and Kaighn Avenue after receiving several 911 calls for reports of a robbery.
“Upon arrival, officers located a male inside of the store suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The male was identified as 40-year-old Luis Morales. Morales was transported by ambulance to Cooper University Hospital where he was pronounced deceased at 11:25 a.m.,” police said.
