Manhattan deli sells $17K winning Take 5 ticket

MANHATTAN, N.Y. — A Take 5 player in Manhattan scored a $17,612 top prize in the New York Lottery’s October 30 midday drawing. The winning ticket was sold at Columbia Gourmet Deli, located at 3905 Broadway, the lottery announced on Wednesday.

The Take 5 game, which offers players a chance to win by selecting five numbers from a pool of 39, holds drawings twice daily, at 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. The ticket sold at Columbia Gourmet Deli matched all five numbers drawn to secure the top prize in the midday round.

The New York Lottery stated that winners have up to one year from the drawing date to claim their prize, offering ample time for the ticket holder to come forward. The identity of the winner has not yet been disclosed.

This win continues a string of recent lottery successes across New York City, with Take 5 remaining one of the most popular daily games in the state.
