Two robberies reported on Washington Place NE as police search for masked suspect

WASHINGTON, DC — A pair of robberies on Wednesday night in Northeast DC has prompted a crime alert as police search for a suspect last seen fleeing the area near the 2300 block of Washington Place NE.

The incidents occurred around 8:30 p.m. on January 29 and are currently under investigation by MPD units from the 5th District. Both robberies were reported in close proximity, though no injuries have been disclosed.

According to the lookout, the suspect is described as a Black male with a dark complexion, wearing a black ski mask and a dark blue jacket with red graphics near the bottom.

No further suspect information has been released, and it is unclear whether the individual was armed during the incidents. Police are advising the public not to take action if the suspect is seen and to contact authorities immediately.
