Mount Laurel police investigating fatal hit-and-run that killed e-bike rider on Route 73

MOUNT LAUREL, NJ – Police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run that claimed the life of a 49-year-old Magnolia man early Monday morning after his e-bike was struck on Route 73.

Officers were called to the 1100 block of the southbound lanes at about 12:13 a.m. and found the victim, identified as Anthony Caprio III, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators said the vehicle involved, described as a white SUV traveling southbound, fled before officers arrived. The Mount Laurel Police Department’s Traffic Unit and Detectives Bureau are working with the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office to identify the driver and vehicle.
