EVESHAM TOWNSHIP, N.J. — The Federal Aviation Administration has implemented a temporary ban on the operation of drones in certain areas of New Jersey, including a portion of Evesham Township, until January 17, 2025.

The restriction applies to a one-nautical-mile radius around coordinates 39º55’05″N and 74º52’04″W, covering the area near Sharp Road and Church Road. The FAA has not disclosed the reasons behind the restrictions, which are commonly issued for safety or security concerns.

The Evesham Township Police Department shared details of the restriction on social media, urging compliance with the FAA’s directive.

The department emphasized that violations of the ban could result in serious penalties.

The public is encouraged to report drone sightings or suspected flight restriction violations. Drone sightings can be reported to the FBI via its hotline or online portal, while FAA violations can be reported directly to the agency.
