LONGPORT, NJ — A $2 million abandoned waterfront mansion in New Jersey is gaining new attention after urban explorer and YouTuber BigBankz featured it in a video that has already drawn nearly 300,000 views since premiering April 20.
The sprawling estate, once owned by a Chinese-American banking executive named Lee, sits frozen in time. Viewers were given a detailed look inside the decaying yet elegant mansion, filled with untouched belongings including furniture, framed family photos, and even a Lexus SUV still parked in the driveway.
According to the video, Lee emigrated from China in 1978 and rose to become vice chairman of a major bank while amassing a portfolio of luxury properties. He and his wife settled in the New Jersey estate in 2010. In 2020, at age 78, Lee died after contracting COVID-19, halting ongoing renovations at the property.
After his death, his wife reportedly moved to be closer to their children, and the bank assumed ownership of the property. Since then, the home has been left abandoned, its contents undisturbed.
BigBankz, an Oklahoma-based content creator known for exploring forgotten locations, described the mansion as “a striking reminder of a life once lived in luxury and ambition.” His narration also hinted at the emotional weight of the home, posing questions about the dreams and memories left behind.

The video is part of a growing trend of urban exploration content on social media, where creators document decaying properties that were once symbols of wealth or community life. BigBankz has accumulated more than 678,000 subscribers by showcasing such hidden and forgotten spaces.
The New Jersey mansion is one of the more opulent locations featured on the channel, generating significant viewer engagement and discussion about property laws, estate abandonment, and the human stories left behind in shuttered homes.
Though the exact location of the mansion is not disclosed for security reasons, its beachfront position and visible condition have led some online viewers to speculate about its legal status and future.
