Hudson County player hits $3.2M jackpot with lucky Secaucus ticket
SECAUCUS, NJ — A Jersey Cash 5 ticket sold at a Secaucus business turned one Hudson County lottery player into a multimillionaire after matching every number in Wednesday night’s drawing for a jackpot worth more than $3.2 million.
New Jersey Lottery officials said the winning ticket was sold at Mirali Corporation located at 1299 Paterson Plank Road in Secaucus.
The winning Jersey Cash 5 numbers for Wednesday’s drawing were 02, 18, 19, 31 and 42. The Bullseye number was 42 and the XTRA number was 04.
The ticket matched all five numbers to secure the $3,280,313 jackpot prize.
Mirali Corporation will receive a $2,000 bonus for selling the jackpot-winning ticket.
Lottery officials said 65 players matched four out of five numbers along with the Bullseye to win $500 each. Seventeen of those winners increased their prizes to $2,000 by adding the XTRA option.
The jackpot marked one of the largest Jersey Cash 5 prizes awarded this year. The game’s largest jackpot reached $3,402,434 in March after a winning ticket was sold in Mercer County.
Following the win, the Jersey Cash 5 jackpot reset to $150,000 for Thursday night’s drawing.
