Triple $50K lottery frenzy hits Maryland with wins in Annapolis and Calvert County
Annapolis, MD – Three Maryland Lottery players are waking up significantly richer after separate tickets sold in Annapolis and northern Calvert County each delivered $50,000 prizes in Wednesday night drawings.
Two of the big wins came from the May 6 Powerball drawing, with tickets sold in Annapolis and North Beach each matching four white balls plus the Powerball to secure $50,000 prizes.
The winning Powerball numbers were 18, 27, 51, 65, and 68, with a Powerball of 05.
Lottery officials said one winning ticket was purchased at Dash-In on Riva Road in Annapolis, while the second was sold at Fastop Food Store on Chesapeake Avenue in North Beach.
A third $50,000 winner came from the Bonus Match 5 drawing after a top-prize ticket was sold at Anthony’s Bar & Grill on Southern Maryland Boulevard in Dunkirk.
The winning Bonus Match 5 numbers were 13, 21, 22, 31, and 33, with a Bonus Ball of 02.
Anthony’s Bar & Grill will receive a $500 bonus for selling the winning top-tier ticket.
Lottery officials urged all winners to sign the backs of their tickets and store them in a secure place until claimed. Players have 182 days from the drawing date to redeem prizes.
Prizes exceeding $25,000 must be claimed through Maryland Lottery headquarters in Baltimore.
