Investigators are asking for the public's assistance in identifying a man wanted in connection with an assault on a police officer and disorderly conduct near 120th Street on Independence Day.

Ocean City, MD – The Ocean City Police Department is seeking the public’s help identifying a suspect connected to an assault on a police officer and a disorderly conduct incident that occurred around 9:30 p.m. on July 4 near 120th Street and Assawoman Drive.

According to police, investigators are attempting to identify a white male with dark-colored hair who was last seen wearing a light-colored shirt with a graphic design on the back, dark-colored shorts and flip-flops.

Police ask public to identify suspect

The department released photos of the individual and is asking anyone who recognizes him or has information about the incident to come forward.

Authorities have not released additional details about the circumstances surrounding the alleged assault or the extent of any injuries.
