A Massillon man’s 50-cent Pick 5 wager paid off with a five-figure Ohio Lottery prize.

MASSILLON, Ohio — A Massillon man is celebrating after a 50-cent Ohio Lottery Pick 5 ticket turned into a prize worth $25,417.

The winning ticket was purchased for the Saturday, May 30, drawing at Massillon Mini Mart, located at 2622 Lincoln Way NW in Massillon.

Lottery officials said the player’s 50-cent wager won a $25,000 top prize, along with an additional $417 through the game’s 60-way backup feature.

The winning numbers were 3-0-1-8-1.

After mandatory state and federal tax withholdings totaling 26.75%, the winner will receive $18,617.95.

Since 1974, the Ohio Lottery has contributed more than $35 billion to education across the state.
