A Pennsylvania Lottery player is holding a top-prize Scratch-Off ticket worth $1 million a year for life after it was sold in Franklin County.

MIDDLETOWN, Pa. — A Pennsylvania Lottery player could soon be collecting $1 million a year for life after a top-prize Scratch-Off ticket was sold in Franklin County.

The winning ticket was purchased at Martin’s, located at 500 North Antrim Way in Greencastle Borough.

Martin’s will receive a $100,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

The $50 $1,000,000 a Year for Life Scratch-Off game offers winners the choice of receiving $1 million annually for life or a cash option of $14.5 million, before applicable tax withholdings.

Pennsylvania Lottery officials said winning Scratch-Off tickets are distributed randomly, meaning neither the Lottery nor retailers know where top-prize tickets will be sold until a prize is claimed.

The winner has one year from the game’s end-sale date to claim the prize. Lottery officials encourage winners to sign the back of the ticket immediately and contact the Pennsylvania Lottery to begin the claims process.
