Police search for missing Atlantic City mother and 3-year-old son

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ – Police are searching for a 30-year-old woman and her young son who disappeared after leaving their home Friday afternoon. According to the Atlantic City Police Department, Jessica Hodgins and her 3-year-old son, Nova Anthony, were last seen around 4:15 p.m. on January 9 leaving the 100 block of Oriental Avenue.

They have not returned home since. Officers reported that Hodgins’ cell phone is still active and pinging in the area, prompting an ongoing search in nearby neighborhoods. Hodgins is described as a white female, approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall and 130 pounds, last seen wearing a black sweater, black leggings, and black shoes.

Her son, Nova, was last seen wearing a grey hat, black jacket, burgundy pants, and black sneakers. Authorities are urging anyone with information on their whereabouts to call 911, contact the non-emergency line at 609-347-5780, or text anonymously to tip411, beginning the message with “ACPD.”
