Police Search for Suspect in Newark Hit-and-Run Crash in Newark

NEWARK, NJ – Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a suspect involved in a hit-and-run accident on January 1.

The incident occurred at approximately 4:20 a.m. on the 100 block of Washington Street, involving a collision between two Mercedes Benz vehicles.

The suspect, a passenger in the offending vehicle, fled the scene after striking a victim.

Director Fragé encourages anyone with information about the suspect to contact the Newark Police Division’s Crime Stopper tip line.

All tips are confidential and could lead to a reward.
