Staten Island, NY – A neighborhood stop along Amboy Road turned into a major win Tuesday evening after a TAKE 5 ticket hit the top prize in the New York Lottery drawing.

The New York Lottery announced that one top-prize winning ticket for the TAKE 5 Evening drawing was sold at Romi Cards & Gifts, located at 3161 Amboy Road on Staten Island. The ticket is worth $31,304.

TAKE 5 numbers are drawn from a field of one through 39, with drawings held twice daily. The midday drawing airs at 2:30 p.m., followed by the evening drawing at 10:30 p.m. Winners have up to one year from the date of the drawing to claim prizes of any amount.

Lottery officials said the New York Lottery remains North America’s largest and most profitable lottery, contributing $3.6 billion during the 2024–2025 fiscal year to support public schools across New York State.
