**Akron, OH** – A 37-year-old man was detained after citizens reported gunfire, leading to a police response at approximately 12:20 a.m. on Wednesday. Officers arrived at the 400 block of W. Market Street and were informed that the suspect had been seen at the Circle K parking lot.

Upon the officers’ approach, the suspect fled, abandoning a car that matched a vehicle description involved in the incident. The individual, identified as Terrell Talley, was apprehended following a brief struggle.

A search of the vehicle resulted in the recovery of a rifle and a handgun. Talley faces multiple charges, including Obstructing Official Business, Weapons Under Disability, Improperly Handling a Firearm in a Motor Vehicle, and Resisting Arrest.

After being charged, Talley was transported to the Summit County Jail. The Akron Police Department is actively working on cases related to public safety in the community.

The officers identified the vehicle had revoked insurance status, rendering it inoperable on public roads. After initiating a traffic stop, the vehicle decelerated and halted at 19 Wolcott Street.

Upon instructing the driver to exit due to the towing of the vehicle, a search revealed a Phoenix Arms HP22A firearm, loaded with ten rounds. Further search led to the discovery of five knives, one equipped with brass knuckles. Horne faces charges including multiple firearm offenses and motor vehicle law violations.

**Clarkstown, NY** – On Saturday, the Clarkstown Police Department assisted the Montvale Police Department in a vehicle pursuit involving burglary suspects. The chase ended near Lake Nanuet Road and Pittsford Way in Nanuet.

Three suspects fled the vehicle on foot upon arrival at the location. Clarkstown officers joined the search, deploying unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) drones and K9 units. Despite collaborative efforts with local and state law enforcement, two suspects are still at large.

One suspect, 27-year-old Jacob A. Ortega-Espinoza, was apprehended shortly after fleeing. Ortega-Espinoza, who has no fixed address, is facing charges of being a fugitive from justice, criminal mischief, and criminal trespass. He is currently awaiting arraignment at Clarkstown Police headquarters.

**Abingdon, MD** – A 41-year-old man has been detained in connection with a shooting that occurred in Abingdon on Monday afternoon.

Deputies from the Southern Precinct of the Harford County Sheriff’s Office were deployed to the 3500 block of Woodsdale Road at approximately 4:05 p.m. They discovered Eric Chi Fonong Igwacho, 27, with a gunshot wound to his lower body. First aid was administered until medics arrived, and Igwacho was then taken to a local trauma center with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Harford County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division took over the case, with assistance from Forensic Services, K9, and Drone Units. The investigation identified Justin Matthew Schlotterbeck of Aberdeen as the suspect. Detectives secured an arrest warrant for attempted 1st degree murder among other charges, and Schlotterbeck was located in his vehicle outside his home and detained without incident. A disassembled handgun was found in his vehicle.

Suspect Arrested in Brighton Stabbing Incident

**Boston, MA** – On Monday at 10:02 PM, officers from District D-14 (Brighton) responded to a report of a stabbing at the intersection of Commonwealth Avenue and Warren Street in Brighton. Upon arrival, officers found a 36-year-old male victim who was receiving medical attention from Boston EMS for multiple stab wounds.

The victim was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries that are not life-threatening. District D-14 Detectives conducted a thorough investigation at the scene and identified the suspect involved in the incident.

On Tuesday, at approximately 6:30 PM, D-14 Detectives and the D-14 Drug Control Unit (DCU) arrested 43-year-old Hans Pierre of Brighton outside his residence in connection with the stabbing.

Hans Pierre is set to be arraigned in Brighton District Court on the charge of Assault & Battery with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife). The investigation remains ongoing.

Arson Conspiracy Conviction Announced

**Bensalem, PA** – United States Attorney Jacqueline C. Romero announced the conviction of Ramiz Duka, a 61-year-old resident of Cherry Hill, New Jersey, for conspiracy to commit arson nearly two years after a commercial building fire.

Trial evidence showed that Duka organized a plan with two men to set ablaze a warehouse at 1388 Bridgewater Road, Bensalem, Pennsylvania. He paid them $15,000 for this illegal act. Over weeks, the conspirators held meetings to strategize the arson.

The fire was ignited by one of the recruited men on December 10, 2022. During firefighting efforts, Firefighter Nicholas Altomare was seriously injured in a ladder collapse. He temporarily left work but has since returned after recovery. The fire resulted in close to $6 million in damages.

At sentencing, Duka faces a prison term ranging from a mandatory minimum of five years to a maximum of 20 years. Authorities extended appreciation to volunteer firefighters, including Altomare, and other agencies involved in tackling the arson case.

Bicycle Delivery Driver Menaced with Handgun, Suspect Arrested in Utica

**Utica, NY** – Thursday, Utica police responded to a weapon possession and menacing incident on the 1000 block of Miller Street around 10:30 AM.

A bicycle delivery driver reported a confrontation with a man on a porch. During their exchange, the suspect picked up and threw a stick at the delivery driver.

Following the initial incident, the suspect returned inside his residence, only to come out pointing a handgun at the delivery driver, who contacted the police. Responding officers apprehended the individual and conducted a search of his apartment.

The search led to the discovery of a 9mm handgun. Lauren Smith, 24, of Utica, is charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the second and third degrees, Criminal Possession of a Firearm, and Menacing in the second degree.
