Mystery surrounds unclaimed man found dead on East Baltimore Street

Baltimore, MD – A man found unresponsive on a busy East Baltimore corridor remains unidentified weeks after his death, prompting detectives to search for family members who may not yet know he is gone.

The discovery was made the day after Christmas when a patrol officer responded to the 1600 block of East Baltimore Street at approximately 9:46 a.m. for a report of an unresponsive adult male. Medics arrived at the scene and pronounced the man deceased.

Officials say no signs of foul play or visible trauma were observed at the location. The man’s body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, where efforts to confirm his identity have so far been unsuccessful.

Investigators believe the deceased man may be named Carlos or Roberto Aguilar, though his identity has not been positively confirmed. Detectives are now working to locate next of kin who may be able to assist with identification and notification.

Anyone with information regarding the man’s identity or possible family members is urged to contact investigators at 410-396-2100.
