INWOOD, NY — One Inwood shopper walked into a wholesale distributor Thursday and walked out with a ticket worth over $15,000, thanks to a lucky hit in the New York Lottery’s TAKE 5 Evening drawing.

The winning top-prize ticket, valued at $15,762, was sold at Sheridan Wholesale Distributor located at 255 Sheridan Boulevard. It was one of multiple winning tickets drawn on Thursday, October 23, in the 10:30 p.m. TAKE 5 Evening game.

TAKE 5 players choose five numbers from 1 to 39. The top prize varies based on ticket sales and the number of winners. Drawings are held twice daily at 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., with all prizes eligible to be claimed up to one year from the date of the drawing.
