Man charged with first-degree murder in death of woman found in Baltimore County home

Towson, MD — A 65-year-old man has been charged with first-degree murder after the death of 69-year-old Patricia Watson-Geiger, who was found with upper body trauma inside a Baltimore County home earlier this month.

Baltimore County Police announced Tuesday that Karl Geiger has been formally charged and is being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center following his arrest in connection with the September 15 homicide.

The case began unfolding just after 8:25 p.m. on Monday, September 15, when officers were called to the 1200 block of Oakcroft Drive in the 21093 ZIP code. Upon arrival, police discovered Watson-Geiger unresponsive with apparent trauma. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators with the Homicide Unit launched an investigation and, within days, identified Karl Geiger as the suspect. The nature of their relationship has not been confirmed publicly, but police listed the case as domestic in nature in initial reports.
