SOUTHAMPTON, NY – Police in Southampton have reported a home invasion and murder that occurred at 8:46 am on Christmas morning. Police arrived to the scene and located one deceased person, saying the death was from a gunshot wound. Police have not publicly identified the victim and there is currently no suspect in custody in the shooting. The Suffolk County Homicide Unit is now investigating the murder and police did not provide any other details.
