Suspect Charged in Utica Stabbing

UTICA, NY – A man was stabbed twice in the leg this weekend Utica and police now have a suspect in custody.

According to the Utica Police Department, on Saturday, at 11:30 PM, Utica police officers were dispatched to the 800 block of Park Avenue regarding a stabbing investigation.

“Upon arrival, they located a victim who had been stabbed twice in the leg. The victim stated that while he was at an address on the 300 block of Blandina St, a female whom he was familiar with stabbed him during the course of an argument,” UPD said in a statement. “Upon learning of the facts presented by the victim, officers went to the address in question and located the suspect and the knife described it the incident.”

Cassandra Newbold age 43 of Utica, was placed into custody and transported to the Utica Police Department.
