29 Year-Old Shot in Northwest D.C. Dies

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department is investigating the shooting death of a 29 year-old man which took place on May 30th on the 1700 block of Rhode Island Avenue in Northwest, D.C. The victim died from his injuries on June 16th.

According to police, “At approximately 4:30 am on May 30th, members of the Second District responded to the listed location for the sounds of gunshots. Upon arrival, the members located an adult male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and transported the victim to an area hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries. On Thursday, June 16, 2022, the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.”

29 year-old Christian Gabriel Monje, of Fairfax, Virginia was identified as the victim.
