D.C. Detective Witnesses Suspect Douse Victim With Gasoline and Threaten To Set Her on Fire

WASHINGTON, D.C. – On Friday night, a man poured gasoline on a victim and threatened to set the woman on fire. This incident happened on Friday night on the 1200 Block of Bladensburg Road in Northeast D.C. The suspect has been arrested.

Police say, “At approximately 11:02 pm, a Fifth District detective was driving through the listed location. The detective witnessed the suspect douse the victim in gasoline and threaten to set the victim on fire. The suspect was apprehended at the scene and placed under arrest.”

According to the police report, the suspect was holding a lighter and told the victim “I’m going to burn you.”

46-year-old Seymour Brown Junior of Northeast, D.C. was arrested on Friday and charged with Assault with Intent to Kill.
