Child in morning New Jersey amber alert safely returned

CUMBERLAND Co, NJ – An amber alert for a missing 7-month-old girl was issued by the New Jersey State Police at around 3:30 am on Thursday. Police were searching for Emerie Rivera, a black and Hispanic child reportedly taken by her father, 22-year-old Ramon B. Rivera.

They were last seen in Cumberland County before being located by the NJSP.

At around 8 am, police notified Shore News Network to advise the suspect had been taken into custody and the child was safely returned.
