Suspicious death of man found in car in Queens ruled a homicide

NEW YORK, NY – On Tuesday, police in Queens found a 33-year-old man unconscious and unresponsive in the back seat of a car in the area of 127th Street and 35th Avenue. Officers with the city’s 110th Precinct arrived on the scene at around noon to find the vehicle parked and abandoned.

An investigation revealed the man’s body displayed signs of trauma. FDNY EMS declared the victim dead at the scene.

Further investigation into the incident triggered police to treat the suspicious death incident as a homicide. The man’s body will be taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

At this time, there are no suspects and no arrests have been made. The identification of the deceased is pending family notification.
