EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ – On Tuesday, at approximately 4:59 p.m., the East Brunswick Police Department was notified of a possible shooting in the area of Taylor Avenue, near Taylor Garden Apartments. The victim, fortunately, was not injured during the shooting incident.

Police quickly identified the suspect as Kyle Johnson, a 36-year-old from Monmouth Junction, NJ. Johnson was charged with first-degree Attempted Murder and Aggravated Assault. He is considered armed and dangerous and was last seen fleeing the scene in a blueish-green Dodge Magnum with New Jersey registration F18KCK.

Based on the ongoing investigation, detectives believe the shooting was unprovoked and a random act. Authorities are urging anyone who knows Johnson’s whereabouts to call 9-1-1 immediately and not attempt to approach him.
